Honor Your Heart ♡

Honor Your Heart ♡
A Sacred Ceremony with Cacao and Ancestral Sound Healing.

This ceremony is dedicated to honor the energy of October’s New Moon and go inwards, shutting down the noise from our daily lives and allowing our hearts to speak to us. We will welcome new cycles and beginnings, cleansing and letting go of everything that has already served it’s purpose.

We will connect with our inner guidance with help from Ix Cacao (Mayan Cacao Spirit), Sacred Sound Healing and Meditation & Integration practices.

————————
Natural Agriculture is a philosophy and a way of life based on a deep respect and regard for Nature. It encompasses the way we eat, cook, and think about food. In addition to the sustainable farming of crops, Natural Agriculture puts us in touch with the wisdom of nature so that we can work in harmony with our world.

A note about parking: If the driveway is full, please avoid streets with restricted parking signs.

Parking spots are listed from closest to farthest from the Hollywood Center:
Franklin Ave: This is the closest parking, but also the most difficult to find a space. Beware of ‘permit only’ and ‘2-hour’ limited parking.
Camino Palermo St: Park on either side of the street, then walk uphill to Franklin Ave., then one block west.
Hollywood Blvd: Park near Vista Avenue on either side of the street, then walk one long block north and uphill to get to Franklin Ave.
Sierra Bonita Ave: Park on the west side of the street, then walk uphill to Franklin Ave., then three blocks east.
Curson Ave: One block west of Sierra Bonita. Franklin Ave. does not continue that far west, so you need to access Curson Ave. from Hollywood Blvd. Drive far up the hill and park near the entrance to the little park. Then walk through the park (short distance) to Franklin Ave.

No parking on Vista or Gardner Avenues. Some of Franklin Avenue is by permit only, or has a 2-hour limit. Beware, some signs are confusing.

Please give yourself of time to search for and find street parking.

「The Last Samurai」
Capt. Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) is an American military officer hired by the Emperor of Japan to train the country’s first army in the art of modern warfare. As the government attempts to eradicate the ancient Samurai warrior class in preparation for more Westernized and trade-friendly policies, Algren finds himself unexpectedly affected by his encounters with the Samurai, which places him at the center of a struggle between two eras and two worlds.

Monthly Sampai at the Hollywood Center

We held Monthly Sampai at the Hollywood Center on Sunday, September 17th.
Sensei Eugene Imai gave a talk titled “No Self-Will, No Attachments”. Following this, Keiko Imai shared her experience traveling to Zambia with Sensei Alan Imai and visiting the Natural Agriculture farmers there. Then the four Seagulls (young adult from Japan) performed a skit about their experiences sharing Jyorei here in America.
After the ceremony, we had a healthy and delicious hot lunch of Chirashi Sushi (sushi rice with a variety of ingredients sprinkled on top), vegetable spring rolls, and fried Jasmine rice prepared by Yoshiko Loyd and friends. The food was made with mostly organic and Natural Agriculture ingredients.
During the hot lunch, we had a wedding reception party for Hunter Loyd & Ayano Loyd. Sensei Koji Nakamura played Taiko (Japanese Traditional Drum) for them.
It was a wonderful monthly gathering 🙂
See you next time, October Monthly Sampai, Sunday, October 15th.
